I am extremely tired. The nights of storms have kept our house awake. Sunday nights storm was loud enough to wake Jake. He has never woken up due to a storm before. The thunder was just so loud and it sounded like bombs were literally going off. Jake woke up crying and ran into our room. Michael let him sleep with us. This was the first time for that too. Of course 5 minutes later, Zoey started her conversation with the thunder and then they ended up in bed with us. I got about an hour and a half of sleep. Not all at once either. Monday, repeat of Sunday night. Except I got 3 hours of sleep with all the animals and a 3 year old in our bed. Tuesday night, storms blew through yet again. Jake slept through the night! Thank goodness. I have just been catching back up the rest of the week. Naps have been necessary after work. We have had a few nights off so that is also a major plus.
Heat. The heat is horrible. Oh my word. If I was even 9+ months pregnant, it would be unbearable. It keeps reminding me how much I love Fall. I'd rather be cold then hot. I'm not a fan of summer. Sadly, it is my least favorite season. The fair started today. That is one event I don't think I will be attending this year. Michael has plans to go with some friends so we will see. I am not a huge fan of the fair. I can find better ways to spend my money! =)
Wednesday marked my dad's 60th birthday!!! I don't believe he is that age and to me, he isn't old. I always thought 60 was old until my dad turned 60. He is just the same Fabio to me! I am very lucky to have had him as my daddy for 27 years!! He is the greatest and anytime I can spend with him is the greatest!! I love that we can just joke around and laugh all the time. We went to dinner at Uncle Buck's. It's the restaurant attached to the Bass Pro Shop. It was amazing. The food was good and reasonable. We then spent a while walking around the store and looking at the fish and boats. My dad, as we know, is a huge fishing man. Spending the evening at the Bass Pro Shop was perfection to him! I was just glad we got to celebrate!
