Alone....sort of

Michael has a class Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. It goes from 5pm-9pm. This means a couple of things.

1) I have to entertain my 2 year old while trying to get caught up on house chores that have been slacking due to us never being home! Especially since Marilyn is coming over tomorrow night. Eshk! My plan is to take him outside for about an hour, wear him out, feed him dinner and then let him wind down to a half hour showing of Cailou.

2) Dogs. Hawkeye has been going through this stage. It's not a good stage. Basically the Lab howls the second he realizes Michael is gone. Does he stop? No. If you put him in his kennel he barks and then howls. It never ends. I don't know what the deal is with that dog and Michael. So odd. Plus "the rat" as we call her, gets into everything. That or she is beating up the cat somewhere. I live in a zoo.

3) The Cat. I have never met a cat that will willingly knock over whatever he wants to, no matter the size. He has the strength of a panther. He knocked over the banana holder with 7 bananas on it last night. On Saturday, he knocked over Michael's tool belt because he jumped into it. He wanted to bat at the screws. Not to mention last week when he took Michael's iPod and ran off with it. This is a cat people! Again, I live in a zoo.

4) Lack of motivation. What is that word? I have none of it. At work today, I kept thinking maybe, just maybe, it would surface. Ummm, no. It's been MIA for about 2 weeks and it needs to return. So I am hoping the motivation picks up so I can get some stuff done at home. Work, eh, we don't need to work hard! LoL! I can work at a snails pace and still key enough in a day. I hope at least. Ugh, motivation needs to return. Plus I feel like we are teaching them a little lesson. We aren't machines! Sometimes I feel like they expect so much out of us. Maybe it's just me!

5) Distractions. Numbers 1-4 are enough of a distraction but I have more. For instance, House is new. It's probably 1 out of the 3 shows I can keep up with now a days. The rest are going to be either listened to online or just watched when the season come out to buy. Also having The Office on from 5:30-7 is no help whatsoever. I will just have to let it be on and keep on working.

UPDATE:

I started writing this when I got home. I would like to report the following:
1) Jake is being extremely good and I completely wore him down outside!
2) Hawkeye is just laying around instead of howling! I can take that!
3) Zoey ran around outside the whole time with Jake, so she is done in for the evening! Thank goodness!
4) Somehow I gained motivation and cleaned up the whole main floor. Yikes. I even did it in 30 minutes. Crazy what happens when you put your mind to it!
5) I will be able to watch House because I am done with everything I wanted to do and then some! I feel like a kid who gets a reward for doing chores.

Over and out.

House, The Office, and Glee are my only shows - I applaud your good taste. :)

Those are the three shows I always make sure to watch! Well, within a few days of airing! Ha!
