They always come back to haunt you....

I thought I was safe. Wrong. I was so wrong. Almost 2 months ago, we went out to dinner for my birthday at On The Border. A favorite of Jana's and mine. OTB makes any day a better one. Why not go there for birthdays?! My character self made an appearance. Sadly. I apologize, now. A few photos were snapped. Back in the day, well February, Jana couldn't get photos to upload and I was slightly rejoicing. Yesterday I got a message on my phone saying "you have been tagged in 7 photos." My heart rate automatically increased and I swear the sweat was starting to bead up. I had every right too. These photos are not during my prime time. They are now made into emoticons that are floating around the CLPC floor. It gets a good laugh and I am glad I can laugh at myself. At least I can be myself around the Trimbles and they still love me! Here are a few:
The Darcinator came! Kind of...

Still don't know what was with the thumbs down

And the "EH OH!" face!

Busy factor!

It's been a week. Wow. I don't know where time goes. Last week we worked on getting the downstairs bathroom painted. It's all done. Next project for that room is tiling. Which will probably get started this week! We had a fantastic BBQ with friends. It was nice to be able to be outside and grill. The weather has been pretty amazing so far. The upcoming week looks fantastic. Thursday we had The Black Eyed Peas concert. Can we say amazing?! It was fantastic and it ranks up there with Coldplay. We so got our fist pumping on! I have a ton of photos but have had no time whatsoever to put the up! It was a very late night which led to about 3 hours of sleep then I had to survive through Friday at work. It was difficult. You can ask Jen. I think I yawned a record number of times. I felt horrible because I yawned through conversations and barely could keep my eyes open. I was lucky not to fall into my food at lunch.

Friday, Michael and David started on the flooring. After one long weekend of keeping a 2 year old confined into 2 rooms, blood, sweat, whinny dogs, and many jammed fingers and broken nails later, it's done. Again, I don't have any photos because I haven't had the time. Plus we need to clean up a little more. We had a minor accident involving our DVD case so we had to purchase a new one and stayed up forever tonight setting up. We have entirely way too many DVD's. I know we are even missing some. Me being the OCD person I am, have to have them all alphabetical. I spent a good 2 hours doing that while Michael cleaned up his tools and moved furniture back. At about 11 tonight we crashed. More like we sat on the couch and looked at each other. We didn't have to say anything. Just looking at one another, we knew, we were exhausted and over worked. Lucky for us, it's Sunday night so that means tomorrow is Monday. Yay work. Ugh. I will try to get some pictures up soon! That is if we have to even breathe. Michael has to work at Chad's house Monday night till aobut 9 and then has to help load up his parents on Tuesday night. End of one busy week, start of another!

Acontecimientos de fin de semana

El Viernes:
After the shock wore off about how much snow was falling out of the sky, we planned our evening out. We ordered a pizza from PH and got everything ready. We decided that the bathrooms need a little more "umph". I decided to paint the trim a glossy white. I didn't know how it was going to look, and to tell you the truth, I was a bit nervous! Sometimes you get those ideas in your head, and in theory, they look amazing. Once you do them, not so much. After the first coat, I knew I was a genius! Right when I finished the first coat, PH showed up! Once full on some delicious Hawaiian pizza, I got back to work. The munchkin when down at about 7:30 so then Michael came and helped me finish it up. We got around 8ish so we sort of had an evening! I was told by Jos that the flick "Taking Chance" was a movie everyone should watch. After experiencing it, I have to agree. You may use a whole box of kleenex and have streaks down your face at the end, but it's worth it. Within the first 5 minutes, the tears leaked over! Just the amount of respect and even admiration of people in this movie, just made me extremely proud. It is based on a true story and I am thankful for this man sharing this story. My heart goes out to anyone who has had to experience this, or will experience it. He won't admit it, but Michael did shed a tear or two. I am thankful everyday, multiple times a day, that him and David made it back. After the movie we did a little canoodling and went to bed.

El Sábado"
This morning we woke up early and headed to Target. Talk about mania! There was a line, quite a few cars and die hard Twilighters all ready to bust through the doors. We stayed in the car. It was cold and there was snow. Happy First Day of Spring! Haha. The doors opened and the people busted through. Mind you, Target had about 100 copies just on one side of the store alone. We got our 2 copies and headed to get Michael some cinnamon rolls and Mt Dew. As we walked over to the grocery part of the store there was a whole other "Twilight" section. If I would have known that, I would have just come through the other doors. I have them in my possession, so that is all that matters! Now the real test. Could I hold out until Sunday....you'll have to wait and see. The rest of the morning we spent finishing the upstairs bathroom. Everything is done but touching up. We even got one coat on in the downstairs bathroom! What a relief! Michael got the flooring so him and David start that next Friday. Turns out, 4 other townhomes likes ours just went up. Boo! We might be here for a while! Haha. We'll have to wait and see. We halted all work at 4:30 to watch UNI play. I will say, I was a little weary and thought KU would take us down. They were ranked #1. They were suppose to go all the way. Well we didn't let them. I was on the edge of my seat the last 5 minutes of the game clock. We were screaming at the TV. It was bad. Like Hawkeye season all over again! We pulled it through and won. It was a proud moment for us! After the game, we made dinner together and watched a movie. I didn't fall under my own peer pressure. We watched the 2nd disc to The Big Bang Theory.

El Domingo:
I was hyper active this morning. I think it's because I knew the afternoon was approaching and all I wanted to was see Jana and have our marathon! After groceries, lunch, and wearing the rugrat down, it was time to head over to the Trimbles' house! After getting the light a little darker, it was time for the marathon. Now, watching these 2 movies back to back, wow. I never realized how much the first movie actually kinda of sucked. New Moon is actually pretty factual to the book. Where as Twilight, not so much. I still loved Edward. The day Jana and I are taken by the men in white coats because of our obsession, we will walk in, arm in arm. We then will share a room, devoted to him. Ha! Oh, one little side story. In the middle of the movie marathon, her door bell rang. All I heard was "Do you know the owner of the red SUV" and my heart rate increased. I knew right then, someone hit it. Sure enough, someone did. He was ever so nice and his car had far more damage then mine, but still. Just one more thing to get fixed! After the minor interruption, we were back on. After my 4 hour drool session, I headed over to Michael,s parents house. We raced cars for about an hour and talked about both us needing to move. They did offer for us to live with them if we sell our place and can't find a house. I will have to say this is very tempting. Just mainly due to the dog situation. We will have to see. Now we are finally home, and it's what, 8:30. Man alive! I am half interested int his. Due to "Life" being on The Discovery Channel. I love Geckos!!

Now, list for the week!

Love Never Dies

I am a Broadway junkie. I will admit it. From Rent, to Wicked, South Pacific, Spring Awakening, West Side Story and my all time favorite has to be The Phantom of the Opera. I still remember at a very young age, getting to stay awake to watch it. NBC had done a miniseries, which I now own. I remember sitting on my parents bed just watching it in awe. I believe I was only 7, but I fell in love with The Phantom and Andrew Lloyd Weber. I remember one Christmas receiving not just The Phantom of the Opera soundtrack but a 4 disc collection of Andrew Lloyd Weber and listening to it non-stop all the way to the East Coast. My favorite all time song had to be "The Phantom of the Opera." Hearing the beginning, the drums playing, I was hooked. Not to mention, in 2004, it came to the Big Screen! I think this is the role that made me fall madly in love with Gerald Butler! The DVD stayed in my 6-Disc changer almost 6 months in my apartment. Along with Mean Girls, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and The Italian Job. I have been fortunate to see it on Broadway. It was breath taking. I, of course, cried like a baby. I never did like the ending. Call me crazy, but I really wish she would have ran off with The Phantom. I always thought Raoul was a wussy little baby that had no macho manly tendencies. Now The Phantom, well he had a powerful voice, he could fight and my heart always went out to him. Last November, I read in an article the Andrew Lloyd Weber actually wrote the sequel, "Love Never Dies". This has been floating in the air for years and I was over the moon excited to hear it. I looked it up on iTunes the day it was released, March 9th. I listening to a few songs and fell in love immediately. I never purchase it b/c it was $29.99 and I thought if I waited, maybe I could find it somewhere cheaper. We have been so busy getting the house ready, I haven't had time to do much of anything for myself. To my surprise, a fellow co-worker had purchased the CD. Can we say lucky? I then proceeded to burn it onto my computer and work and then brought in two CD's to fill up with the amazing music. I am in love, love, love with it. I cannot stop listening to it. First off, the man who does the vocals for The Phantom...can we say gorgeous!!! His voice melts my heart and gives me goosebumps. The feeling you can hear in his voice, wow, just wow. The sequel is also, as I like to say, a little more "rough". It's not so lovely dovey and you find out what has happened in the past 10 years. I just get swept away by this music. The melodies, the symphony, the story, it's just amazing. Just another thing to hope to come our way in about....5 years! Ugh, I'm going to be listening to this for weeks!

The new Phantom = Yes please!

I think he is a Gilles Jr

Hallway of Death....accomplished!

Weekend project: one ginormous hallway. After our trimming extravaganza we had on Friday, Saturday morning brought very little enthusiasm for the days work ahead. It was slow moving but once we got rolling, literally, it went pretty fast. We had the first coat on by 2! What a day. I really didn't want to even try to put a second coat on. It was a workout, a test of marriage (LOL), and a test of skill. We had to run out and do some errands. After grabbing a late lunch and eating it at my parents house since we had to take Gabby out, we headed to our current 2nd home, Home Depot. Let me tell you what. I looked horrible. I didn't even care. My hair was all up in shambles. I looked like Sarah Jessica Parker from the Oscars. I had a ratty old Nationwide shirt on from 3 years ago, when we use to get them for free. I had a pair of old, holey jeans on, no make up and a giant crater of a zit that crash landed on my face during the night. I was a mess. Or course, I went to give the man at the counter our paint selections. I gave him the card and looked up. WHAT?! Who are you? Where did you come from? Can I take you home in my pocket?! Honesty. We have had the same paint guy every time we went in. Not this time. I looked up from the counter and this dark haired, muscular, blue eyed beauty was staring at me. I think my mouth literally fell open. He had red plaid shirt on and his sleeves were rolled up to his beautifully tanned elbows. He then asked me how many gallons of each I wanted. I had to take a moment and compose my self in order to speak. My voice, traitor, cracked. It was horrible. I could tell my cheeks were red and the back of my neck was about to sweat. He told me it would be about 15 minutes then flashed this amazing, dazzling, wide smile. My knees buckled and I had to lean against the cart. I took a deep breath and started walking down the isle. I did inform Michael of what just happened and he laughed uncontrollably. I kept stealing glances over as the probably only 19 year old boy was working. After we got everything we needed we headed back up to get our paint. As we were picking it up, I noticed my paint color on his apron. My own personal mark left on him. Michael then snapped me back to reality. As we were checking out the lady at the register said "Being that incredibally good looking cannot be right. You should see the girls flock over there." I told her "I can only imagine." On the way home Michael did admit that the boy looked like he belonged in an Abercrombie catalog or a Calvin Klein commercial.

Here are some photos of Saturdays work:
He got way up there!

In other news little Miss Zoey got a hair cut! The pooch needed one so bad! She looks like a completely different pup!

We had a full day and finally crashed around 9! What a day, but we did get a lot done!

Today, oh today. It didn't help that we lost an hour of sleep. Which means, of course, we woke up late. 10 to be exact. Not good, not good. After running a few errands and getting the boy fed, we started working away. It went a lot quicker today because we were just putting the 2nd coat one. A few hours later, it was done. Really?! It can't be! Yes! It's done. This had to be one of the biggest painting challenges for us! It is now done and we are relaxing this evening. We deserve it! Sadly, we worked so hard, we didn't get a weekend! Tomorrow is the start of another work week. I wish I could be in Texas! Haha. But the weather should be fantastic this week and bathroom #1 is getting started! Here are some photos of the now, finished hallway!

So glad to be done!! Now time for some SATC!

12 March 2010

Thank goodness it is Friday. I feel like this whole week has been one giant pot hole! I need to be fixed! Haha. The weather, not helping. This is the 4th day for of rain, clouds, and fog. I am not seeing any dazzling vampires running around so the sun would be nice. I did see the forecast for next week and I saw a few 50's! 50's and sun. I think I can manage! The weather has been impacting my mood way more then it should.

My mood hit an all time annoyance level this morning. Today = angry girl music. I started with some no-shaving-armpit Alanis, then moved to skaterboy lovin' Avril, some smash the plates Flyleaf, throw in a dash of Paramore, with a Meredith Brooks song we all know, a remembrance of Evanescence, and a criminally sane Tori Amos. I think I listened to Lykke Li's "Possibility" about 6 times until I ended up on the Muse for about 20 minutes. Then Presidents of the United States "Peaches" came on and I truly man laughed hard core. I love the 90's. Good memories. I then resorted back to Ingrid Michaelson. I can never go wrong with her. I somehow managed to get to work way too early so I got to break free at 2:45. Ran a few errands and got home about 6. After a hearty meal and an hour of play, Jake went down for a "nap" as he calls bedtime. Date night 2 of painting began. We got everything tapped, trimmed, textured and fixed tonight. That is so much more then I thought we would get done! We broke out Bon Jovi and rocked out while 'we were livin on a prayer' to not go crazy with this hallway. I never realized how big the vaulted ceilings were until about half way through "Shot Through the Heart" and I realized I needed a 10ft ladder. Ironically as "Dead or Alive" played, I managed to fall off a chair backwards and get paint all over my buttox. Story of my life! Michael got a kick out of it!

Now time for some R & R. Have to get ready for paint day tomorrow!

11 March 2010

I lied.

The madness struck a new high today. I totally forgot that the "Eclipse" trailer was debuting today. We even had a countdown going on it! Where is my mind today? I got a text from a friend around 11 to remind me to check at noon. You bet your booty I was on it at 11:59. I couldn't stop listening to it. I watched it 3 times but then I was consumed by listening to it. Excitement shot through my blood stream, goose bumps shot up all over and chills ran up and down my spine. I am completely obsessed. I need an intervention. Actually, no. I don't. Men are obsessed with sports, I can have Twilight. Again, I just got goose bumps. I am proud to be a Twi-Hard for 3 years and going strong. I am sure I will get extremely excited in Nov for HP! Hopefully it won't disappoint like the HP 6. I lied about keeping my 14 year old self locked away. It made it's self known today and badly! Best part: I already downloaded the trailer to my iPod!

Home owner

Being a home owner has its ups and downs. Most of them are ups! Selling, well that is a downer. We are hoping to have our house on the market by May. Keeping our fingers crossed. I am 90% sure I can have all the painting done by the end of March and then we just have the floor left. We have been going back and forth about where to go from there. I think apartment living is what is in our future. We do not want to rush into another house that we don't love and we can't see ourselves in. Apartment living might be a little cramped and might be a pain for a while but it will give us time to figure what we want. Now, if a house falls into our laps, then it's a different story.

We spent the evening at Michael's parents house. They have just returned from Arkansas. They bought Gigi's house. She is moving at the end of March and so they are trying to figure out what stays and what goes. Basically they are pretty much stressed out! That is a complete understatement. They need a vacation on a secluded island for a week. Between figuring out what furniture stays in her house, needs to be sold or brought to her new house, to paint/wallpaper (no wallpaper!) colors, to the fact they aren't even moving till Spring 2011, it's just insanity. It sounds like they are just furnishing the place the way they want it and let it sit until the big move. If you haven't met Michael's parents, well, let us just say, they have a lot of stuff. They have to get rid of about half of it. This is going to take a team of people! I think they are going to have to have an estate sale. There is no other way around it! Just the books, the mountains and piles of books. The books alone will be an adventure. It should be an interesting year.

Well here is to us hoping to sell our house by the time football season rolls around! Wish us luck! We need it!

09 March 2010

Warning: Squealing 14 year old!

It's official. I am back on my Twilight bandwagon. After a three month break of not reading, listening or watching anything Twilight, I am back on. I pulled out the audio book today at work! I have 11 days until New Moon surfaces in stores nationwide. I am starting to get that itch for June 30th. I believe we have already taken the day off work and will be at a theatre near you. I find that when I am listening to a book rather than reading, I notice a lot more. For example, I realize even more how much "she scowls" and "she hisses". Not to mention the numerous times she falls and how many times she references how much of a cluts she is. Although, nothing beats the Edward factor. Once he is in the picture, life is fantastic. I think I'll only listen to book 1 and 2. I need to read Eclipse before the movie. One bonus is, I will not be diping into Breaking Dawn due to the fact that movie has yet to even been put in writing. Plus, if I can put off the male reader who is used for Jake's voice, as long as I can, it will be beneficial to my mental health. Listening to this poor man have to talk like Rosalie and even Bella. Awful. To make it worse, he even has to talk like a 2 year old. That has to be the worst! For now I will stick to 1 and 2. Listening to them, just makes my day go faster. Plus, the meadow?! Honestly. It gives me chills up my spin every time. Everyone needs a little Edward Cullen in your life. Today would have been a perfect day for a Twilight showing. Foggy, rainy, a little chilly. This week we are under a constant cover of clouds and rain. It's perfect. I am still holing out for our marathon on the gianormous screen at Bec's. I am so thankful my Jana is finally seeing the light. It's fun to watch a newborn to the books so wrapped up in them! She has finally come to my side! Plus she dislikes Jacob Black as much as I do. I knew we were meant to be BFF's. 11 days and........AH! As I am typing this, a commercial for New Moon on DVD just came on!! EH OH! Now my heart is racing and I am going to be awake for a while! That also reminds me that one of the previews for "Remember Me" is the "Eclipse" trailer! Okay, 14 year old girl going back inside to hide for another 11 days! =)

07 March 2010

Another weekend in the books

Saturday morning we awoke, child free. Aka, we got to sleep past 7! It was pretty fantastic! We got ready and headed out to Machine Shed. After a delicious meal with my amazing parents, we headed back to our casa. We got ready for some lunch guests. Laurel and the boys came over and we got to spend only about an hour with them but it was a total blast!! They boys are so fun when they get together. Jake was extremely excited! After they left, Jake really wanted to go to Josh's basketball game. I was already going so Jake and Michael came along! It was a lot of fun. It so fun to watch kids play basketball! Especially when you really want them to score some points!! I will say, there was one mighty fine coach. How bad is that? We are at church, with families all around and I drool over a coach. End of this topic. After Josh's team won, Jana and I headed out. I am so thankful that Jana and I can share the same panic sweat together. Thanks again bestie for turning the tables on me! We had so much fun though. I would do that every Saturday. I can't go into detail because surprises are being planned. I got home and played with Jake for a while. I kept him up so that I could spend some time with him. Once again, the poor boy didn't have a nap. Although, he did quite well the whole day! I put him to bed and Michael and I cuddled up and watched "2012". Not to over the moon with this movie. It got over at about 11 and then we stayed up way too late to again, watch a movie on TV we already own. Ugh.
Defense!
Look at all his stars on his sleeve! Awesome!

Today we got the adventure of going to Chuck-E-Cheese! Oh my goodness. Talk about insane. People everywhere. Jake had a complete blast! He loved playing the games, the lights and the characters! He had a blast! He would sing and dance all over! It was a hoot! It looked like all the kids had a great time! Jeff was pure entertainment. Oh my wow. So funny. You have to love a 10 year old and an 8 year old birthday party! I think I should plan Michael's birthday there next year! It would be fantastic! Or Jeff's! HAHA!

Loved playing the games

Bahahahahahahaha

Well it was a busy weekend! I do love those! During the weeknight this week, back to painting! We got side tracked last week. Michael was so tired all week! Let's hope he is ready to get his "roll" on!

I leave you with the Christmas Card 2010 photo contender #1 of the year:

05 March 2010

Fantastic Mr Friday

Today was a great day! I got up, actually somewhat awake, got to work early which meant I got to leave early! I had a full work load which helped my day go by so much quicker! I had good company, it was quiet and my tunes were rockin'! It was National Name Tag day and we were provided with name tags to put any name on there you wanted, work appropriate of course! Hello, my name is Wanda! Wanda Flo to be exact! 3pm finally rolled around and I was out! I got into the elevator on the 5th floor. Of course it had to stop on 4, 3, 2 and 1 before I was let out. I did pick up a lady on 4 that was, well, a little perky for me. She got in and started squealing. No joke. She told me from floor 4 to floor 3 how excited she was it was the weekend, how fantastic the weather was and how she was so excited that she to to wear her sunglasses! All in the time it took to move to the next floor. Every floor we picked up on, she had to re-tell her excitement! We got to the first floor and I asked, "You wouldn't happen to be a trainer would you?" She beamed her huge white teeth with a grin from ear to ear, I swear I could see down her throat and she responds "OMG, how did you know?!" Ms Perky literally then skipped out of the elevator and busted through the doors. I was waiting for birds to fly by, a deer to walk up to her and a song, but it didn't happen. I do have to admit it was nice coming out to the sun and not having to wear a coat!

I got home and we got ready for our date! We started to think about it. It is girls basketball weekend and things were going to fill up quick. We got to Olive Garden at 4:30. We had a 20 minute wait. What?! It's 4:30 people!! We got seated and we could see outside and the mobs of people coming in. We had a fantastic meal complete with their amazing salad and a huge glass of wine! It was so nice to have a little romantic date with my hubby. Is it a date at 4:30?! That is still considered afternoon to me! People were looking at us, probably because we kept laughing and Michael held my hand across the table most of the time. (Insert vomit here) We headed over to JC and got in line for the movie. I am very thankful we got there when we did. The movie started at 6:30 and we got there about 5:55. They let us in at 6. We got perfect seats! I still can't believe the amount of people that get there at 6:27. First off, this is a new movie. Second, it was sold out all night. Third, you know it's going to be a big hit, so why would you get there late when you have groups of 5-10 people that all want to sit together. It was very interesting to watch. The movie was amazing. Just the colors and in 3D, it was fantastic. I did jump a few times with the things they threw out at you and whatnot. It made me want to go watch the original. It has been so long. Johnny Depp didn't scare me as much as I thought he would. I kind of fell in love with his character! All in all, it was very good. It's always great to see a movie on the big screen, especially this type of a movie.

After the flick, we sped over to Target. We had to pick up a birthday gift for one of our nephews! As usual we walked out with more then what we had come there for. I think its the curse of Target. You always spend more then what is on your list. We then went for a little walk and now we are spending the rest of the evening, well almost morning cuddling and watching a movie. I love that our dates are really dates. That we can still act like a newly dating couple! That we can still gross people out with PDA. Sorry, we are offenders. No making out though. I promise!! Well, back to canoodaling!

04 March 2010

I love you.

4 years ago today, I was just a single gal, getting ready to take a giant leap into a place I have never gone before. People say your wedding day flies by and it's over in a blink of an eye, it is true. I sit here, just wondering, where does the time go? It may have been 4 years ago today, but it feels like just a few months. Although, 1 child, 2 dogs, a cat and a house later, proves me wrong. They do say the first couple of years of marriage are the hardest. We have been through are ups and downs but nothing out of the ordinary. So yeah, he got me a skillet with a meal to cook in it for my birthday the first year. I can't really blame the man. Now I look back and find it hysterical. We have gone through so much in the past 4 years as a married couple and it has done nothing but make us stronger. I am so thankful for a Godly man that has been a great husband and father. I have been so amazingly blessed and it has really been a fairytale so far.

Michael:
I love you. Words cannot express or define my love for you. You have one of my best friends for 12 years, my love for 6 and a half, my husband for 4 and an amazing father for 2 years. I couldn't imagine my life without you. Being able to wake up and just roll into your arms is one of the greatest feelings. There are still times you slowly take my hand and my body quivers and butterflies take flight. I love that even when we are in a room with a ton of people, you still make eye contact with me and shoot a quick wink or you will walk by and kiss my forehead. I love that you still always want to take my hand when we are driving, unless the weather is bad. I love you call just to say "I love you!" I love watching you with Jake. The energy you have to run around with him and the way you love him, it just melts my heart every time. I love the way you love me. I love the way you comfort me. I love the way you hold me. I love that you still brush strands of my hair away if it gets in the way. I love that we can act like kids when no one is watching. I love that we can do anything together and have an absolute blast. I love that you dance. I love that you sing, even though it's off. It makes you, you. I love that you love happy endings and my even shed a tear. I love you for loving me, no matter what. You are my hero, in more ways then one. You are my rock, also, in more ways then one. Lol. Wrapping it up, I love you and these past 4 years together have been amazing and I couldn't ask for anything more. I am so lucky to have you in my life and I can't wait to see what the next 60 years holds for us! I love you babycakes!!

PS - I want this....why? No reason, probably because I am obsessed. Click here if you must know.

Musica

Music is a big part of me. I sometimes think it pulsates in my blood stream. It's so hard to explain it. I love that I can turn on my iPod and escape. Last night, I caught an old episode of Grey's Anatomy. I noticed one of my favorite songs was featured. "Keep Breathing" by Ingrid Michaelson. In the same episode "Beautiful Mess" by Jason Mraz was featured. It got me thinking, if had to devote a playlist to a TV show, it would have to be Grey's. The music on that series is absolutely amazing. I then googl'd the playlist of season 5 and look
at the list! It's amazing! I think I have about 90% of those on my iPod and even about half of them are in my playlist of favorites! I have created a playlist of music that just fits me and I can never ever get sick of. It's only about 359 songs but I could never get sick of them. I would say over half of them have been used on Grey's. I do have all the seasons and being the nerd I am, I still watch them over and over. I am now noticing the music selections used in the background and for certain moods! One of my all time favorites is Ingrid Michaelson "Turn to Stone". I was watching an episode at 1am on Saturday and never realized it was used for a pretty emotional scene. Makes me cry every time. I try to show my girly side every once and a while.

My most recent download was a very random selection. I got the Vancouver: Winter Hits of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. I am glad to say, it's upbeat, keeps me interested and something different. Good $6.99 sale on iTunes for 40 songs. They are remakes but it's interesting to hear the differences! Sometimes a little more techno. Need some "uns uns uns uns"...sorry, that is my Mike F impersonation.

Confession time. I have a new guilty pleasure song. I should have known the second I heard it that it would be a downfall for me. I'm a sucker for the ballads. I think that is another reason why Rachel from Glee and I have so much in common. It is sadly, Miley Cyrus. I heard the song a few weeks ago and just set it on the back burner. Being home yesterday, I checked it out. I think I listened to it 3 times before just going to download it. Ugh, I'm hopeless! Not only is the music not so bad, but the lyrics hit close to me personally.

A stroll down root canal lane....

I woke up this morning, all ready to go! Nerves were high. I will not lie on that one. I hate the dentist. I do, I do, I do. Especially after my Saw experience a few weeks ago. I had to be there at 7:45. My supportive hubby met me there. I am so thankful for him. It kept my mood light. After filling out the paper work they took me back. My Dentist and DH were amazing. I want her the next time I go to the Dentist instead of 'Hack-job McFee' that I see. The Dentist did a fantastic job telling me the steps and then numbed me. I can sit here saying, I didn't even feel the shots. The medicine numbed on contact and my entire face drooped into the MaryKate and Ashley half face. Fantastic. They gave me these rockin' shades to sport during the event. Michael snapped a photo at my half way mark. I will attach it at the end. I didn't feel any discomfort or pain during the whole time. It was fantastic! The sounds still tend to put me on edge but hearing "Coca Cabana" and "Queen of the Nile" just made me giggle may way through the procedure. After we were done, he gave me a high five and danced his way out of the office. I knew I liked this man! The experience in all way amazing.

I am now at home. I feel more numb now then I did the whole time in the chair. I talk with a horrible lisp. The side of my face is drooping now more than ever. I feel like I am swallowing my tongue. But, I am home and not at work so these minor defects are just making me even more happy! Plus a Glee marathon sounds pretty fabulous! Insert in DVD player ASAP! Now my biggest dilemma of the day. To watch the Bachelor finale or not? I don't think I can stand it. Maybe an early bed time instead! I could start my new book!! Hmmm, sounds like a good idea to me.

I just finished "Some Things That Meant The Most To Me". I will have to say it kept me on the edge of my seat. It was very captivating. I became more and more interested as I read. The going back and forth from past to present just kept my nose more in it. I wanted to know so bad how this all came about. My heart went out to the character. You can never say you know how someone feels until you have experienced it. I have never experienced this type of pain and feeling of not being loved. It broke my heart knowing that even though this isn't a true story, that some people do go through this. Plus "seeing" it through the eyes and mind of this sad and disturbed man, just struck me to my core. Overall this was a fantastic read and I really enjoyed it. My next book is "The Last Song" by Nicholas Sparks. I have a feeling this will need a box of Kleenex.
Rockin' the Root Canal!
Chica chica what boy!!
